Data Definition
The EIA SEDS data is presented as trillion British thermal units (Btu) of specific fuels used by sector. These values can be converted to million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
Data Frequency
Annual data with 18 month reporting lag. Calendar 2012 information will be available in June, 2014.
Target Rationale
In 2007 the Washington State Legislature established a 2020 GHG emission target for Washington State to return to 1990 emission levels. For the RCI sector this implies an emission target of 18.6 MMT in 2020.
